June 2010 - DesireHost is acquired by ProVista Technologies
ProVista Technologies acquires DesireHost, promising service improvements to their customers.
January 2009 - Public Launch
ProVista Technologies launches its new website as a part of an effort to begin reaching beyond the Philadelphia market. All of the existing services were restructured and corporate communication services were introduced. Read the press release.
April 2006 - The ProVista Technologies brand is introduced
Xcel Hosting changed its name to ProVista Technologies to complement a large scale restructuring which shifted focus to providing business services to the Philadelphia market. Reseller services were discontinued at this time as well.
January 2005 - ProVista Technologies offers dedicated and virtual servers
ProVista Technologies (XcelHosting) introduced a line of dedicated and virtual private servers, adding to its shared, reseller and email services.
December 2004 - HostXG is acquired by ProVista Technologies
ProVista Technologies (Xcel Hosting) acquires HostXG's customers. The HostXG brand was discontinued.
December 2003 - ProVista Technologies is founded
ProVista Technologies was originally founded in 2003 as Xcel Hosting. ProVista continued to operate under this brand until 2006.
